                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF 16TH STREET, MORE PARTICULARLY
                   DESCRIBED HEREIN, ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 29,
                   1992 FROM 3:30 P.M. TO 12:00 MIDNIGHT FOR A
                   BLOCK PARTY SPONSORED BY MR. DWIGHT ASH
                   UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of 16th Street between Highland Park Avenue and 

       Watauga Street on Saturday, August 29, 1992 from 3:30 p.m. to
       12:00 Midnight for the presentation of a block party under the
       sponsorship of Dwight Ash, provided that the sponsor shall set 
out
       traffic cones, flasher barricades, and warning signs in 
accordance
       with the traffic control plan attached hereto and shall provide,
       at all times, an access lane for emergency vehicles and 
residents'
       vehicles.
